The Waves Proton Server SuperRack Combo for Yamaha Consoles is a portable and complete DSP-powered plug-in system designed to provide ultralow-latency Waves plug-in processing capabilities for sound engineers using various Yamaha live mixing consoles in concert venues, theaters, houses of worship, clubs, and other live stage applications.
It includes a SoundGrid Proton DSP server, a WSG-Y16 V2 console I/O card, an 8-port network switch, three Cat 6 network cables, and a Waves software package featuring five Waves plug-ins, the SuperRack host application, the StudioRack plug-in chainer, SoundGrid Studio, and the eMotion ST 8-Ch Mixer.
The plug-ins in this bundle are H-Delay and the Renaissance Series Axx, Bass, Equalizer, and Reverb. The I/O card works with Yamaha PM5D, DSP5D, M7CL, LS9-16, LS9-32, DM1000, DM2000, 01R96, 02V96, DME24N, DME64N, TX4n, TX5n, TX6n, CL1, CL3, and CL5 consoles.
Waves SoundGrid Proton Server DSP Unit
The Waves SoundGrid Proton Server is a rackmountable DSP unit designed to provide affordable plug-in processing power for sound engineers using Waves plug-ins in live event venues, houses of worship, studios, and mobile recording rigs. Since it works with Waves live sound hardware consoles.
SoundGrid audio interfaces, and traditional Core Audio / ASIO audio interfaces, the server is well suited for an array of recording and mixing setups. Plus, its aluminum enclosure is durable, easy to transport, and rack friendly (1/2 rack width).
With an Intel Celeron Quad-Core CPU and 4GB of RAM, the SoundGrid Proton Server reduces the plug-in processing load normally imposed on your computer. It capably handles the task of processing multiple instances of Waves plug-ins with latency as low as 0.8 ms at sample rates up to 96 kHz.
A single RJ45 port ensures simple connectivity to your host computer or SoundGrid audio network, while power for the SoundGrid Proton Server is supplied by the included universal power adapter.
