The d&b audiotechnik E8 is a high performance 2-way multipurpose loudspeaker, employing an integrated coaxial driver. The E8 can be used for speech and music applications as a stand-alone full range system, or incorporated into larger distributed sound reinforcement situations.
With the addition of an E12X subwoofer in passive or active mode or any other E-Series subwoofer, it can also easily reproduce higher level music program. The multifaceted shape of the enclosure allows use either in an upright or horizontal orientation as well as deployment as a stage monitor.
The 90° x 50° dispersion pattern (h x v) of the horn is easily rotatable through 90° to provide a 50° x 90° dispersion pattern. The E8 cabinet is constructed from polyurethane integral hard foam with an impact resistant paint finish incorporating a handle and a socket to accept loudspeaker stands. The loudspeaker cabinet is also available in Special Colour (SC) and Weather Resistant (WR) options. Both options are supplied with metal plates in the specified colour covering the handle recesses and loudspeaker stand socket.

Amplifiers recommended:
The d&b audiotechnik loudspeaker range is designed exclusively for operation with d&b amplifiers. These provide power as well as comprehensive control and protection functions tailored to achieve the performance, reliability and longevity associated with the d&b System approach.
The d&b D20 and 30D amplifiers are recommended to drive the E8. The d&b D80, 10D and D6 amplifiers can also be used with the appropriate loudspeaker configuration selected.
When the E8-X configuration is selected an E8 can be driven passively in parallel with an E12X-SUB from the same amplifier channel.
