The RM-07 from Pioneer is a 2-way active studio monitor designed to provide accurate sound reproduction and extended high frequencies for audio engineers, music producers, composers, and songwriters in small- to mid-sized control rooms and personal studios. The 150W Class AB amplifier is bi-amped to drive a 6.5″ aramid fiber woofer and 1.5” hard-dome aluminum tweeter, yielding a frequency response of 40 Hz to 50 kHz.
The RM series incorporates an HD-coaxial driver that places the woofer and tweeter on the same axis to ensure a truer response across the frequencies. A proprietary waveguide minimizes interference between the drivers, producing a neutral sound with enhanced isolation. The bass port on the front of the low-resonance enclosure is grooved to decrease standing waves and increase impact. Additionally, an acoustic tube in the cabinet further absorbs standing waves, ensuring true reproduction of low to mid frequencies. You can tune the frequency response curve to your listening preference via the built-in 3-band equalizer.
Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA input jacks allow you to easily connect to your monitor controller, mixer, audio interface, or portable device.
