The new DSL Series retains the classic Marshall valve tone (driven by EL34 and 6V6 valves) from amps like the JCM2000, but puts it into a series of modern amps that will suit nearly everybody’s needs and, importantly, their budgets too. This DSL40C is a mid-sized combo within the new DSL range.
The new DSL 40w combo features a 12″ Celestion 70/80 speaker and a pentode/triode switch which takes power output down by 50% making the DSL40C much more versatile in terms of where and when you can use it. The DSL40C can be driven hard in a gig or rehearsal setting but it isn’t so overpowering that you can’t use it for a quick jam at home too.
